Francis George

Inspiration comes in many shapes and forms and abstract art can require precise techniques.  For award winning photographer Francis George, to interpret poetry with imagery presented an unusual challenge.   He worked with poets Judy Choi and Phoenix Brown, first by reading, and then imaging each poem to create the book “the CLOUD that fell from the sky.”  The use of floral abstracts further emphasizes the femininity and sensuality of the text and visually accentuates the Chinese ethnicity of both writers, yet permits the viewer complete freedom of feeling and interpretation.
